Miam Miam @ Bugis Junction

Finally got the chance to try out the food at Miam Miam! Was headed to Bugis Junction for shopping together with my stepson last Saturday (28 Dec'13).

 Miam Miam (which means yum yum), the newest French-Japanese Cafe situated at 2nd level of Bugis Junction, outside BHG.

Our Food~

For the hungry boy, he ordered Bolognese. Look at the half-cooked eggs! Slurp! It was so Y-U-M-M-Y till he finish one whole plate himself! Bet he is super hungry! lolx!

For me, as I'm not that really hungry, I ordered one of their cafe a must try desert - The French Toast. The toast taste great! Will make you crave for more!

In total, we spend about S$45.20 for 2 person. Overall the food is pretty good and affordable. Will go back to try their other creations for sure! Also, they've expand their new 2nd outlet at Westgate, Jurong East. Definitely will visit as it is much nearest to my stay place!

Chen Fu Ji Seafood Classic @ Clarke Quay

Happy Dongzhi Festival!
Before our Chinese New Year approaching, we have another celebration. We will making and eating tangyuan (汤圆) or balls of glutinous rice, which symbolize family reunion.


Was celebrating Winter Solstice Festival (冬至) dinner last Sunday (22 Dec'13) with my hubby and his families at Chen Fu Ji located at Riverside Point, Clarke Quay. My hubby bought this voucher from DEAL.com.sg, S$100 for S$200 dining voucher.

Here comes the foods!

Beancurd Soup with Salted Vegetable (Large Serving: S$24.80)

Vegetables were fresh and crunchy.

Spicy Diced Chicken with Cashew Nuts (Large Serving: S$36)

The roasted duck skin was deftly curved into thin slices and it was crunchy and full of taste.

Not forgetting every Singaporean favorite, Chilli Crab! A seafood dish popular in Singapore and one of Singapore's most iconic must-try dishes.

In total, the bill came to a jaw-dropping S$481.35 (without the voucher) for 6 pax! THE PRICE IS STEEP! After deducted the S$200 dining voucher and end up paying S$281.35 (include the service charge and 7% GST). The crab was the most expensive dish that night.

Overall, we really felt that the meal was not worth that much.

Cantonese Cuisine @ Old Hong Kong Legend, Raffles City

My hubby suggested to bring his mother for a dinner on Friday (20 Dec'13) and I bought this voucher from Groupon, it was a S$80 Old Hong Kong Legend voucher, for the price of just S$56! Old Hong Kong Legend is tucked away in a little corner on the 2nd level of Raffles City Shopping Centre.


Started our dinner with this Old Cucumber Soup. A cooling, nutritious and anti-aging Chinese soup.

For our main course, we ordered this Deep-Fried Prawn with Cereal. One of the most popular and well loved Tze Char (煮炒 ) stall dishes in Singapore. This is absolutely finger-licking good!

Move on, we ordered this one of the restaurant signature dish -Traditional Bake Salty Chicken with Rock Salt. The chicken was kinda salty and the meat was too dry.

The vegetable soup was light and nice.

We also ordered another of their most popular dish - the Flaming Kurobuta Pork with Special Sauce. The dish tastes and likes those ordinary black pepper pork.

The total bill came to about S$119.00, after deducted the S$80 voucher and only end up paying S$54.50 (include the service charge and 7% GST).

LEE's Taiwanese @ JEM

Initially I wanted to try out Miam Miam at Westgate the new shopping mall opening at Jurong East since I'm gotta watch movie together with my hubby at Jcube. However, most of the restaurant at Westgate are still under renovation. So, at the end we decided to go to LEE's Taiwanese at JEM.

The restaurant was designed with the traditional lanterns hanging on it ceilings.


The menu is quite limited.

 My hubby ordered the Premium Set Meal (S$17.90) and I got a Deluxe Set Meal (S$15.90). Both set comprised of 1 main, 1 side dish and a drink.

Tasty and crunchy! Highly recommend side dish!


Pork Chop Rice (炸鸡排饭)
 For my hubby, he had this pork chop rice which is similar to Shihlin's XXL Crispy Chicken.

Simple and yet delicious dish! Love the pickled cucumber!
